Spy x Family Manga Announces 11.7 Million Copies Printed and Sold

The official Twitter account for Shonen Jump+ announced that Tatsuya Endo's family spy manga Spy x Family had 11 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally). The digital platform revealed this by crossing out the "0" on the obi of the latest volume and putting a "1" underneath it.

Though it seems Shonen Jump+ had some bad intel because editor Shihei Lin confirmed that the real sales figure confirms that the series actually has 11.7 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally).

Spy x Family is the first series that is serialized on the digital Shonen Jump+ platform to hit the 10 million copies milestone since the platform opened, and is released in Japan every two weeks. Viz Media's Shonen Jump app is releasing the chapters in English as they're released in Japan, describing the series as such:

An action-packed comedy about a fake family that includes a spy, an assassin and a telepath!

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!
